Biblical Villain’s Fortress Discovered in Israel’s North!

Israeli archaeologists believe that a structure discovered in northern Israel belonged to Sisera, an enemy commander who was slain by the Jewish heroine Yael.

Excavations near the Israeli town of Katzir appear to have revealed a fortress belonging to a Biblical villain named Sisera.

While the structure was first surveyed and excavated by prominent Israeli archaeologist Prof. Adam Zertal around a decade ago, construction to expand the nearby Arab town of El-Ahwat is threatening to destroy on the historical site, which is around 3,000 years old.

Prof. Zertal identified the site as Haroshet Hagoyim, which is described in the Book of Judges as a Sisera’s fortress
